A golden retriever from rural Auckland melted the hearts of many people when his video of delivering newspapers was posted on Facebook. This amazing dog, Kuva, was caught by his owner one morning with a newspaper in his mouth!
According to Brent Cooper, since they live in a rural area, their newspaper is thrown onto the bottom of their driveway, approximately 50 meters. He and his daughter Shelby used to get the newspaper every morning and they would see Kuva wagging his tail when they come back.
One day, he just saw the newspaper on the front porch. ‘It happens every morning and when I got up a bit early, I was shocked seeing my 4-year-old golden retriever with a newspaper in his mouth. I thought the one’s delivering the newspaper did it,’ Brent said talking to Daily Mail Australia.
‘I also thought that Shelby trained him to do it, but she told me she hadn’t. It was all by himself and no one taught him,’ Brent added.
A Hero Was Born
For the next 10 years, Brent would see Kuva with a newspaper every morning. Sadly, he had to say goodbye to Kuva at the age of 15. To commemorate his dog’s passing, Brent posted a video of how his dog made his life wonderful each day. Little did he know what was about to happen.
Over one thousand people commented on his video and thousands reacted on it. He was so overwhelmed with the support and acknowledgment his video received.
Most of them were saddened by the passing of Kuva but also showed their respect for the good dog. ‘Rest in peace, good boy,’ one comment said.
On the day of his passing, they still saw Kuva getting their newspaper. Although he’s gone now, his good deed will always be remembered. Here’s his inspirational video.
